A place for smilesArchive for dog
Day 64
It’s amazing what one can observe on the road to work when no hurrying is needed and no stress is involved.
There was a small cat tip-toe-ing its way near a big fat dog which was lying in the sun. And the dog was soooo lazy, that it just looked at the cat and didn’t move an inch. No barking, no nothing. I thought it was hilarious. Made me think of Saturdays and a big, fat bed
and me
A grey dove flew right above my head and a bird was chirping on my left. ‘Twas almost like summer..
I passed a children’s playground, and those tiny creatures were laughing and playing and yelling “mamaaaieeee” (that’s “graaandmaaaa”)
Some women were working in the school yard, I think they were preparing the ground for flowers
There was so much activity on my way to work, and I found this day to be one out of the ordinary. I could hear everything, see so much more and relaxed. Every place has its beautiful sides, should you choose to see them.

I was thinking.. there have been so many vampire books, vampire movies, more vampire movies lately (bear with me ’til the end of this idea). Some promote different myths than classic ones (garlic, cruciffixes, darkness bla bla). The one that looks interesting to me (and sometimes would like to have) is the heightened senses. They (the vampires) are supposed to hear/feel/see/smell/run x times better/faster than a normal human.
Imagine how you’d feel if you could smell every small scent of your favourite flower, see clearly every rinkle a dear friend makes when he smiles at you, hear every step people make…and so on..
Day 41
Missing my dog.. a lot. This was my Mickey:
- he was about 8 yrs old when the “taking to a far, far place, with a house and kids” took place (few years ago)
-he was untrained and a little dangerous, but I prefer to remember smiley Mickey because:
- he used to be small and sleep near my head
- he used to lick my whole face with his tiny tongue in the morning
- he used to make funny sounds and scratch my bed when he wanted to go out
- he used to sleep like a baby between me and my sister, or my dad and my mom
- he used to kill them slippers
- he used to dry himself onto all the couches/beds after bath
- he used to smile to the camera
In his memory I want to share with you the joy of .. other dogs:
Day 2
To be up to date, this Friday will be my 2nd day.
I’m still waiting for my happy moment for this day. Until then, I’ll keep in mind the picture of the dog I once had. He was black, furry, lazy, sweet and childish. His smile always made me SMILE.
Later Edit: I smiled at the sky today. It opened up to me and it was the most wonderful blue I have ever seen .
