A place for smiles

Day 89

For the 17th of May here are 17 beautiful smiles:

Day 64

It’s amazing what one can observe on the road to work when no hurrying is needed and no stress is involved.

There was a small cat tip-toe-ing its way near a big fat dog which was lying in the sun. And the dog was soooo lazy, that it just looked at the cat and didn’t move an inch. No barking, no nothing. I thought it was hilarious. Made me think of Saturdays and a big, fat bed :D and me :D

A grey dove flew right above my head and a bird was chirping on my left. ‘Twas almost like summer..

I passed a children’s playground, and those tiny creatures were laughing and playing and yelling “mamaaaieeee” (that’s “graaandmaaaa”) :)

Some women were working in the school yard, I think they were preparing the ground for flowers

There was so much activity on my way to work, and I found this day to be one out of the ordinary. I could hear everything, see so much more and relaxed. Every place has its beautiful sides, should you choose to see them.

I was thinking.. there have been so many vampire books, vampire movies, more vampire movies lately (bear with me ’til the end of this idea). Some promote different myths than classic ones (garlic, cruciffixes, darkness bla bla). The one that looks interesting to me (and sometimes would like to have) is the heightened senses. They (the vampires) are supposed to hear/feel/see/smell/run x times better/faster than a normal human.

Imagine how you’d feel if you could smell every small scent of your favourite flower, see clearly every rinkle a dear friend makes when he smiles at you, hear every step people make…and so on..

Day 63

My happy moments for today were:

  • a small break from work in the middle of the day (10-15 mins) in which I took a little walk, enjoying my share of sunshine and fresh air
  • a few stray dogs (puppies actually, and their mother, I think) that were playing around near my office building or sitting on the green wet grass – reminding me of the lack of stress in children’s lives and the beauty we got over so quickly as adults

Day 31 & Day 32

This weekend I could observe the spring effects on people. There was more laughter on the streets, there were sounds from birds, there was a whole lot of light (I need sunglasses soon) and there were children.

Spring cleaning was, of course, needed. So I got my very joyful sis’ and cous’ to gimme a hand. And we cleaned, we cooked (chicken covered in wine and potatoes, all steamy and delicious and right from the oven), we ate, we drank, we listened to music and had a great cleaning day altogether.

I am very grateful for the people around me.

Day 22

Heeeey!

So happy today!

My copy of  “Eu cine sunt” de Mihail Musat has just arrived. And I have I can’t wait to sink my eyes into it :)

To give you a smile too, please check out these funny things kids say: click me

Children are such naive, simple, honest beings. They can take your mind off of any troubles if you just let them talk and let them take you into their magical world.

Day 12

Today I got flowers, “martisoare” and chocolate. :)

Here are mine for you:
